Gene brings 30 years of Silicon Valley business and executive experience to his work with electric vehicles. After a short stint at Intel, Gene spent 15 years at Sun Microsystems in Marketing, Sales and General Management. Gene ran Sun Microsystems, Japan, in Tokyo for five years. He was then the VP/GM of the Desktop/Computer Workstation Business Unit for five years. After leaving Sun, Gene became the CEO of NetContinuum, a network firewall startup for three years, before joining Zero Motorcycles in 2007, Gene was employee number nine at Zero and took charge of day-to-day management of the company. He retired from Zero in March of 2011 and remains on the Zero Motorcycles Board of Directors.
Gene has a degree in Physics from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Carnegie-Mellon University. He naturally rides a Zero S electric motorcycle.
