It's hot. It's all about acceleration and exhilaration. It looks wonderfully, deliciously like an elongated Lotus Elise. It rockets from zero to 60 in slightly under four seconds with a top speed of 130 miles per hour.

What it's not is cheap. It's also not loud, stinky or polluting.

What is it? It's an all-electric car with JUICE and a 200 mile range. It is the sexy, silent Tesla Roadster all-electric car due to hit the road in limited production numbers in late 2007.

This silent, green, mean machine is powered by 6,831 liquid-cooled lithium ion cells in a light but sturdy carbon-fiber body assembled at a Lotus factory in England.

The Tesla is remarkable for more than its stunning assets and its price tag. Tesla Motorcars has resurrected the heretofore crushed hopes and dreams of EV enthusiasts everywhere. This electric car is the real deal. It is absurdly fast, extremely efficient, well-designed and available soon. No tune-ups are required; but stay tuned for Tesla Motor's next project: The Tesla White Star Sedan. About half the price of the Roadster and twice the people carrying capacity.
