It's a real bummer if you ever reach a charging site to find it's completely ICEd. But how about when a charging station gets popular, and all the spots are taken by plug-ins? It's not a shame.. Rather, it's an opportunity for site managers and drivers to work together to maximize usage of a limited resource. read more

Being "green" is a great benefit of plug-in vehicles. But the label "green" causes lowered expectations and reflexive opposition, making the cars seem less desirable to people that are unfamiliar with them. read more

Since December, I've been collecting data to study the current state of EV charging infrastructure. Dozens of volunteers have helped survey Blink and ChargePoint sites and report on parking policy, station condition and availability. A picture is emerging of where we stand today with networked charging infrastructure. read more

Jeff U'Ren, who previously wrote and co-produced Plug In America's PSA spots, was eagerly awaiting Chevy's YouTube Volt Owners' testimonials. When he saw them, however, he was underwhelmed. Why? Jeff says, "They never mentioned the damn plug." So Jeff was inspired to record his own testimonial. read more

Plug In America has worked extremely hard to gain more consumer incentives for plug-in vehicles and we are gratified to see this new presidential policy proposal which will increase the Federal tax credit to $10,000 and make it available at point of purchase. We will work with the Congress to try and make this become a reality! read more
