This is a wonderful addition for EV households. Imagine this scenario: You have your vehicle charged up at home, but late at night a storm knocks out power to your entire neighborhood. With a 'frig full of perishable goods (and perhaps medications), the local power company repair crews are very busy working elsewhere. The resumption of power is scheduled for within xx hours! Yipes! Now, with this accessory in hand, given your traction pack capacity, knowing the power level this BOX will deliver - your goods would be safe for about at least a full day. Run some simple numbers: 16,000 watt-hours capacity, divided by 1500 watts is nearly 10 hours. A "guess-timate" of typical refrigerator duty cycle being 1 in 3 ) yields well over 24 hours. (Clearly, YMMV - but you would not be allowed to open the 'frig door and stare at the contents for 2 minutes while deciding what to grab... nor have the rest of the house running as normal..) In a few more years, everyone will want one of these, and OEM's will include the hardware as standard equipment.
