Control Module Industries EVSE LLC EVSE
Description
EVSE, LLC. is a subsidiary of Control Module Industries. They are planning designs for parking lot, curbside, and industrial uses.

They are planning a residential wall-mounted version (see linked presentation). This unit has the same maximum power output of 74 amps. The company is marketing a Power Share feature that will allow the charging station to be added to a shared circuit, sensing power requests from other appliances, and reducing vehicle power automatically if necessary.

Some notes from Daniel J. Shanahan, Director of Sales & Marketing
"Please note that we are the only EVSE provider with an automatic cable management system that keeps J1772 cables and connectors off the ground, away from vehicles, snow, salt, ice, rain, dirt---and the units prevent pedestrian tripping incidents. We've designed chargers for specific locations: one charger design does not fit all locations. Our Garage EVSE is ceiling mounted and is configured w/an automatic cable retractor that presents the cable when the EVSE is turned on. The cable descends to an ADA compliant level. When the driver disconnects the J1772 connector from the on-vehicle receptacle, the cable retracts automatically, out of harms way. Our Marquee Unit offers the same automatic cable management solutions, but is designed for parking lots. Our Industrial EVSE is designed specifically for truck and bus yards, offering a detachable cable which is stored in the truck or bus VS being left on the ground.
Our Power Share unit addresses a major issue, especially at residential installations. Many homes and multi-dwelling units will not have enough power to accommodate a Level 2 Charger at 40A. This means a new owner of an EV will have to spend time and money to rewire their home to upgrade their electrical service. Our Power Share unit eliminates these costs by using an existing 208-240VAC electrical appliance (electric stove, water heater, dryer). While the vehicle is charging an EV owner might turn on their dryer. Power Share senses this call for power, stops charging the vehicle and surrenders power to the dryer. When the dryer stops, Power Share senses the power drop and resumes charging the vehicle."
